About The Position

Harborlight Homes is a nonprofit community development and property management organization providing service-enriched affordable housing throughout the North Shore of Massachusetts. The Occupancy Specialist supports day-to-day occupancy and compliance needs across the affordable housing portfolio. Although the portfolio includes more than 26 properties, the role typically supports approximately 3–4 properties at a time, focusing on certifications, recertifications, and other occupancy-related work. The specialist is generally based at one primary property for several months, depending on where support is most needed, and may transition to another property or group of properties after work at the current location is brought up to date. This traditional Monday-through-Friday role provides exposure to affordable housing operations, compliance, leasing, and resident relations. As the role evolves, there may be an opportunity to take on expanded responsibilities and grow into a Property Manager position.
