About The Position

Sentara is hiring an Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB) Technologist at Sentara Leigh Hospital's L&D department in Norfolk, Virginia. This is a Flexi/PRN position for the Night Shift. Under the guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse, the OB Tech is responsible for assisting in nursing care and surgical services in the maternity services area. This includes providing patient care necessary for comfort, hygiene, data collection, and documentation. Activities are based on accepted standards of operating room and obstetrical practice and are performed within the scope of education, training, and experience.

Requirements

• LPN or Surgical Technologist education & training accepted.
• If not an LPN, experience as Surgical Tech and CST preferred.
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year Prior OB/OR/Surgical Technologist experience REQUIRED.

Nice To Haves

• CST preferred if not an LPN.
