About The Position

Sentara is hiring an Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB) Technologist at Sentara Leigh Hospital's L&D department in Norfolk, Virginia. This is a Flexi/PRN position for the Day Shift. Under the guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse, the OB Tech is responsible for assisting in nursing care and surgical services in the maternity services area. This includes providing patient care necessary for comfort, hygiene, data collection, and documentation, all performed within the scope of accepted standards of operating room and obstetrical practice, and within the limits of their education, training, and experience.

Requirements

LPN or Surgical Technologist education & training REQUIRED
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 90 days REQUIRED
1 year Prior OB/OR/Surgical Technologist experience REQUIRED
If not an LPN, experience as Surgical Tech and CST preferred.
