About The Position

Under the supervision of an assigned Nutrition Services Supervisor, the Nutrition Services II leads and participates in food preparation and serving activities at an assigned elementary school site, or assists in preparing and serving a variety of food in quantity at an assigned secondary school site or Central Kitchen. The position performs related work as required. This is an internal vacancy available only to current employees of the school district. Applicants must have passed the six-month probationary period in their current position before applying.

Requirements

• Sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the required knowledge and abilities, including one year of food preparation experience.
• Adhere to the annual minimum training hours for School Nutrition Staff under the USDA Guide to Professional Standards for School Nutritional Programs.
• Hold and maintain a current ServSafe certificate or equivalent under the California Retail Food Code.
• Be a current employee of the school district and have passed the six-month probationary period in the current position before applying.
