About The Position

Morrison Healthcare is hiring a full-time Nutrition Operator at Mayo Clinic Hospital – Saint Mary's Campus in Rochester, Minnesota. The role is responsible for securing patient meal selections and special requests through telephone or face-to-face interactions. The operator supports patients while ensuring food choices comply with diet orders, allergies, sensitivities, and cultural, ethnic, or religious preferences. The position also coordinates with nursing and follows facility requirements for patient confidentiality, food safety, sanitation, and reporting.

Requirements

Prior call center experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow proper telephone etiquette and procedures when interacting with patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals.
Offer menu alternatives permitted by prescribed diets, taking food allergies, sensitivities, and cultural, ethnic, or religious preferences into account.
Respond to patient needs, resolve concerns or complaints promptly, and report requests for assistance to a supervisor as appropriate.
Comply with dietary restrictions for special and modified diets while meeting food preferences within diet-order limitations.
Coordinate with nursing to ensure patients' diet prescriptions are accurate and their food needs are met.
Follow facility confidentiality and patient-rights policies, including HIPAA policies and procedures.
Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
Follow HACCP guidelines when assembling and distributing food supplies to ensure food quality and safety.
Complete required daily, weekly, and monthly reports on time and in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
