About The Position

TouchPoint Support Services, part of Compass Healthcare, is hiring full-time and part-time Nutrition Operators at Seton Medical Center Austin in Austin, Texas. The role secures patient meal selections and special requests through telephone or face-to-face interactions. Operators help patients choose suitable menu alternatives while following prescribed diets, food allergy and sensitivity requirements, and cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences. They also coordinate with nursing to confirm diet prescriptions and patient food needs, respond to concerns, and support safe, high-quality food service.

Requirements

• One year of previous call center and/or operator experience.
• Bilingual experience.

Responsibilities

• Use proper telephone etiquette and procedures when interacting with patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals.
• Offer menu alternatives permitted by prescribed diets, taking food allergies, sensitivities, and cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences into account.
• Respond to patient needs and resolve concerns or complaints promptly, reporting requests for assistance to a supervisor as appropriate.
• Follow dietary restrictions for special and modified diets while meeting food preferences within diet-order guidelines.
• Coordinate with nursing to ensure patient diet prescriptions are accurate and food needs are met.
• Follow facility confidentiality and patient-rights policies, including HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when assembling and distributing food supplies.
• Complete required daily, weekly, and monthly reports on time.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
