About The Position

As a Nursing Operating Room Supervisor, you manage a skilled team to provide safe, compassionate patient care and create a professional environment that promotes collaboration and positive results. You oversee productivity and operations, assist with planning policies, manage budgets and resources, and implement quality initiatives and programs to help meet departmental goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of two years of experience.
• Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• Thorough understanding of nursing practices and patient care protocols.
• Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience creating patient care plans and managing private information.
• Computer aptitude for documentation and task management.
• Ability to guide and influence a team to meet goals.
• Aptitude in recruitment, performance appraisals, and supporting team growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate patient care.
• Oversee team members to ensure appropriate and efficient care tailored to patient requirements.
• Encourage and implement evidence-supported practices and research within the department.
• Advocate for nursing staff and fair, ethical practices.
• Facilitate learning and professional development opportunities for the team.
• Work with team members to consistently deliver high-quality, safe care.
• Evaluate and improve practices within the nursing environment.
• Manage resources prudently.
• Ensure the smooth functioning of daily operations.
• Assist with policy planning, budget and resource management, productivity oversight, and implementation of quality initiatives and programs.
