About The Position

Falling Water Healthcare Center, a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, is recruiting a Nursing Staff Scheduler. The role coordinates nursing staff coverage to help maintain the highest degree of quality resident care. The scheduler follows the master staffing schedule, works closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) or designee, prepares and revises daily staffing sheets, and administers attendance and paid time off for nursing staff. The position also performs other administrative staffing duties and works within established departmental, center, and corporate policies, quality improvement programs, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Prior staff scheduling experience required.

Responsibilities

• Follow the master staffing schedule created by the DON or designee.
• Communicate continuously with the DON or designee to coordinate information and maintain nursing schedule accuracy.
• Prepare daily staffing sheets and revise them as necessary.
• Follow center policy and DON guidelines for staffing numbers, staff assignments, and protocols for using agency and in-house pool staff.
• Prepare a weekly list of vacant nursing positions for the DON.
• Administer attendance and paid time off for nursing staff.
• Perform other general or specific administrative staffing duties as required.
• Perform other related activities as assigned or requested.
• Follow established departmental, center, and corporate policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement programs, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
