About The Position

Falling Water Healthcare Center, a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, is recruiting a Nursing Staff Scheduler. The position coordinates staffing to help ensure the highest degree of quality resident care is maintained at all times. The scheduler follows the master staffing schedule and works continuously with the Director of Nursing (DON) or designee to coordinate information and maintain accurate nursing schedules. The role prepares and revises daily staffing sheets, administers attendance and paid time off for nursing staff, and performs other administrative staffing duties as needed. The position also follows applicable staffing protocols and center, departmental, and corporate policies, including quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Prior staff scheduling experience required.

Responsibilities

• Follow the master staffing schedule created by the DON or designee.
• Communicate continuously with the DON or designee to coordinate information and maintain an accurate nursing schedule.
• Prepare daily staffing sheets and make revisions as necessary.
• Follow center policy and DON guidelines for staffing numbers and assignments, including protocols for using agency and in-house pool staff.
• Provide the DON with a weekly listing of vacant nursing positions.
• Administer attendance and paid time off for nursing staff.
• Perform other general or specific administrative staffing duties as required.
• Perform other related activities as assigned or requested.
• Maintain and work within departmental, center, and corporate policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement programs, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
