About The Position

South Hills Rehabilitation Center in Eugene, Oregon, is seeking a dependable, organized full-time Scheduler to support nursing staff scheduling. The role develops, implements, and monitors a scalable workforce management model for nursing staff. The successful candidate has strong communication and organizational skills, can multitask in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, and is detail-oriented, adaptable, and professional when managing competing priorities. The position is full-time, day shift, and onsite at South Hills Rehabilitation in Eugene, Oregon.

Requirements

1–2+ years of experience in staff scheduling; healthcare experience preferred.
Superior verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Excellent interpersonal, counseling, and negotiation skills.
Strong presentation skills.
Excellent leadership skills.
Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

Maintain schedules and all records related to nursing staff schedules.
Create the campus’s four-week master schedule and post it in accordance with the Hourly Scheduling policy.
Know staffing patterns and ensure they are maintained.
Adjust staffing as needed in response to budgetary constraints, census fluctuations, call-offs, and planned leaves of absence.
Schedule requested days off, vacations, and sick time under the direction and approval of the Director of Nursing.
Complete administrative assistant duties for the Director of Nursing when requested.
Maintain paperwork and records concerning absenteeism, requests, and schedules, and keep the Director of Nursing apprised of relevant areas.
Know and comply with Resident Rights and ensure they are maintained at all times.
