About The Position

Under the direction of the CDI RN Manager, this role assists with input, programming, and training for the Electronic Health Record (EHR) with the goal of maximizing system capability and efficiency. Nursing Informatics is the specialty that integrates nursing science, computer science, and information science to manage and communicate data, information, and knowledge into nursing/clinical practice. Under general supervision, this role leads and facilitates the integration of data, information, and knowledge to support patients, nurses, and other providers in their decision making in all roles and settings. Performs essential functions of a Systems Analyst. Guides and assists staff and physician EHR education program(s). Works closely with clinical staff and physicians to solve immediate and long-term problems and enhance system and staff functions.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Two or more years as an RN.
  • Maintain effective interpersonal relationships with co-workers and patients.
  • Ability to work with the sick and injured.
  • Ability to accept constructive criticism.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
  • Successful completion of 500-hour probationary period.
  • Criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen required upon conditional job offer.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred.
  • One year's experience in Informatics preferred.
