About The Position

Provides basic nursing care to patients under the direct supervision of an RN and assists the RN in observing and caring for patients in assigned areas. Demonstrates proficiency in delivering care to the assigned age-specific patient population, such as infants, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, or pediatrics, and participates in related continuing education.

The role is with St Joseph Medical Center and supports Providence’s patient-focused, whole-person care approach.

Requirements

• Satisfactory completion of training for Nursing Assistants.
• CNA certificate, graduation from an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant program, demonstrated equivalency (such as experience as a corpsman, EMT, foreign-licensed RN or MD), or completion of an accredited Nursing Program.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• For employees in the Emergency Department, 2T, and PARC only: MOAB I/II within 30 to 150 days of hire.
