Nursing Assistant - Part Time Evenings - Nelson Care Center
About The Position
As a Certified Nursing Assistant at Nelson Care Center, you’ll provide hands-on support to residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity. You will assist with daily activities, monitor health changes, offer companionship, and help create a home-like environment where residents can thrive. The role is hourly and non-exempt, with no supervisory responsibilities and no travel requirements. The schedule is part-time, 48 hours per pay period, from 2:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., and includes every other weekend and holiday. The pay range is $22.60–$24.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and location.
Requirements
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Minnesota.
- Ability to provide care with empathy, patience, and integrity.
- Physical capability to perform all essential job functions.
- Ability to pass a state-mandated background check.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, staff, and visitors.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or home health.
Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate hands-on care, assisting residents with dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, and mobility according to each resident’s Plan of Care.
- Support residents’ daily well-being by offering meals, hydration, companionship, and encouragement for social engagement.
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ health, including vital signs, skin conditions, and behavioral or physical changes, and communicate promptly with the nursing team.
- Help residents feel comfortable, respected, and supported by creating a home-like atmosphere.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure residents receive exceptional care and support.
