Nursing Assistant - Full Time Overnights - Nelson Care Center
About The Position
Vivie is hiring a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant at Nelson Care Center. The position provides hands-on support to residents, helping ensure their safety, comfort, and dignity. The Nursing Assistant assists with daily activities, monitors health changes, offers companionship, and helps create a home-like environment where residents can thrive. The schedule is 80 hours per pay period, from 10:30 p.m. to 7 a.m., including every other weekend and holiday. The role is hourly and non-exempt, with a pay range of $22.60–$24.00 per hour based on experience, qualifications, and location. It is in the Nursing department and SNF division, has no travel requirements, and does not include supervisory responsibilities. The role receives leadership from the Director of Clinical Care or Nursing.
Requirements
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Minnesota.
- Ability to provide care with empathy, patience, and integrity.
- Physical capability to perform all essential job functions.
- Ability to pass a state-mandated background check.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, staff, and visitors.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or home health.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care according to each resident’s Plan of Care, including assistance with dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, and mobility.
- Support residents’ daily well-being by offering meals, hydration, companionship, and encouragement to engage socially.
- Monitor and report health changes, including vital signs, skin conditions, and behavioral or physical changes, and communicate them promptly to the nursing team.
- Help residents feel comfortable, respected, and supported by creating a home-like atmosphere.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure residents receive exceptional care and support.
