About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides hands-on support to residents, helping ensure their safety, comfort, and dignity. The role involves assisting with daily activities, monitoring health changes, offering companionship, and contributing to a home-like environment where residents can thrive. The position is full-time, 80 hours per pay period, with overnight hours from 10:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. It includes every other weekend and holiday. The role is hourly and non-exempt, with eligibility for overtime, and does not include supervisory responsibilities. Travel is not required.

Requirements

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Minnesota.
• Ability to provide care with empathy, patience, and integrity.
• Physical capability to perform all essential job functions.
• Ability to pass a state-mandated background check.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, staff, and visitors.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or home health.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care, including assistance with dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, and mobility according to each resident’s Plan of Care.
• Support residents’ daily well-being by offering meals, hydration, companionship, and encouragement to engage socially.
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ health, including vital signs, skin conditions, and behavioral or physical changes; communicate these promptly to the nursing team.
• Help create a home-like atmosphere where residents feel comfortable, respected, and supported.
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure residents receive exceptional care and support.
