About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy is seeking part-time Nursery/PK Caregivers to care for children from infancy through age 2 in a classical, Catholic environment in San Antonio, Texas, for the 2026–2027 academic year. The positions are hourly and provide childcare/nursery services. Work takes place Mondays and Thursdays from 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., approximately 14 hours per week. Applicants do not need teaching certification or formal teaching experience; training and guidance are provided. Candidates must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church, have a deep love for the Catholic faith, and be living the faith day-to-day, including having received the sacraments appropriate to their state in life. Staff must complete mandatory training, a background check, and RCA Safe Child training before working in the classroom. No additional vacation days are given, though accommodations are made for sick days as needed.

Requirements

Able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
Deep love for the Catholic faith and living the faith day-to-day, including having received all sacraments appropriate to one's state in life.
Clear background check.
Complete mandatory training and RCA Safe Child training before working in the classroom.

Nice To Haves

Experience homeschooling or working with homeschool children, ministry in a Catholic parish, teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes, teaching one's own children, or teaching in a classical or private school; these are not required.
Strong communication skills, good organization, and timeliness.
A traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.

Responsibilities
