About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy is seeking part-time Nursery/PK Caregivers to care for children from infancy through age 2 in a classical and Catholic setting in San Antonio, Texas, for the 2026–2027 academic year. The position is approximately 14 hours per week, with work on Mondays and Thursdays from 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. The work is hourly. Teaching certification and formal teaching experience are not required; training will be provided. Applicants must complete mandatory training before working in the classroom and pass a background check. Staff also complete RCA Safe Child training. Applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and have a deep love for the Catholic faith, living it day to day and having received the sacraments appropriate to their state in life. No additional vacation days are provided, though accommodations may be made for sick days as needed. Childcare/nursery is provided.

Requirements

Able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
Deep love for the Catholic faith and living the faith day to day, including having received the sacraments appropriate to one's state in life.
Clear background check.
Complete mandatory training prior to working in the classroom.

Nice To Haves

Experience homeschooling or working with homeschool children.
Experience in Catholic parish ministry or teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes.
Experience teaching one's own children.
Experience teaching in a classical or private school; this is not required.
Strong communication skills, good organization, and timeliness.
A traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.

Responsibilities
