About The Position
Avenues Recovery Center on the Eastern Shore is hiring an RN or LPN to provide compassionate, dependable nursing care at its 100-bed residential facility in Cambridge, Maryland. The facility provides drug and alcohol detox and inpatient rehabilitation services in a safe, supportive, and highly structured medical environment. Nurses help clients throughout admission, treatment, and discharge, working with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care.
Requirements
- Complete a minimum one-year diploma program after high school.
- Hold current RN or LPN licensure permitting practice in-state, or compact licensure with multistate privileges.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Be detail-oriented and efficient, with the ability to multitask.
- Demonstrate a compassionate, dignified character that models recovery principles.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in behavioral health, detox, medical-surgical nursing, corrections, or long-term care is welcomed.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality medical care for each client throughout admission, treatment, and discharge.
- Coordinate pharmacy and prescription needs, dispense medication, and maintain clear medication logs.
- Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, tracking, and reporting for each client.
- Provide patient education in individual and group settings.
