About The Position

Nurse Technicians serve as members of the patient-care team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), helping deliver quality care. In this role, you will perform tasks such as taking vital signs, checking blood sugars, bed bathing, ambulating patients, providing wound care, catheterization, and serving as a safety attendant. You will also clean patient environments, work areas, and equipment; report equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel; demonstrate high moral and ethical standards; and protect the privacy, confidentiality, and security of patient, staff, and organizational data.

The posting describes a medical-surgical setting with a diverse patient population and collaborative interdisciplinary care. The position is part time, scheduled for two 12.5-hour night shifts per week, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with every third weekend scheduled. The listed primary location is Reed City Hospital.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality patient care as a team member under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Take vital signs and check blood sugars.
• Provide bed baths, assist with ambulation, and perform wound care and catheterization.
• Act as a safety attendant for patients.
