About The Position
The Nurse Practitioner works collaboratively with physicians to provide advanced primary and specialty care services to pediatric and adult patients. The role delivers comprehensive preventive and general healthcare, including routine physical examinations, diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and promoting overall patient wellness. This position is associated with Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center and its Heart Care services.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing or a related field.
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the applicable state.

- Five or more years of nursing or relevant clinical experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct new patient consultations and review medical histories.
- Perform physical examinations, screenings, and health assessments.
- Provide patient and family education, including aftercare instructions and ongoing care recommendations.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records, including test results, immunizations, and changes in health status.
- Deliver high-quality, provider-level care in compliance with organizational policies, safety standards, and productivity expectations.
- Recommend additional treatment plans, referrals, or follow-up appointments as appropriate.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic health conditions, including prescribing medications when indicated.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
