About The Position
The Orthopaedic Center is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nurse Practitioner for DOC Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, an affiliate of HH-TOC. The Nurse Practitioner will work directly with one of DOC's established, board-certified orthopedic Physicians. The primary duties include surgical first assist, rounding, office/clinical patient evaluations and education, giving therapeutic injections, referring to diagnostic treatment/tests, evaluating x-ray, CT, and MRI, reviewing lab results, casting and splinting, writing scripts, and dictation. The candidate must be licensed to practice in Alabama.
Requirements
- Licensed to practice in Alabama
- Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner with First Assist
- CRNP/FNP certified
- Three years previous orthopaedic experience required
- Highly self-motivated and driven with a strong work ethic
- Able to work independently
- Confident in making clinical decisions and managing patient care
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with the orthopedic surgeon and healthcare team
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Compassionate and patient-centered with good interpersonal skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience or interest in sports medicine and orthopaedics is a plus but not mandatory
- Desire for continued learning
