About The Position
Promotes a professional, patient-centered practice image while performing patient histories and physical examinations, making diagnoses, providing therapeutic treatment regimens as required, and interpreting laboratory results under the supervision and direction of a practicing physician. Uses a team-based approach to all tasks. The incumbent is expected to become proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment, through training and on-the-job experience.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program and an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current North Carolina (NC) license.
- ACLS and PALS or BCLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), required within three months of employment.
- Proficiency in the basic aspects of the job expected within three months of employment through training and on-the-job experience.
Nice To Haves
- Family or Specialty Nurse Practitioner certification.
- Two or more years of experience in the practice area.
