About The Position

Promotes a professional, patient-centered practice image while performing patient histories and physical examinations, making diagnoses, developing therapeutic treatment regimens as required, and interpreting laboratory results under the supervision and direction of a practicing physician. Uses a team-based approach to all tasks. The employee is expected to become proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment, through training and on-the-job experience.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current North Carolina license.
• ACLS and PALS or BCLS certification from the American Heart Association required within three months of the employment date.
• Experience requirements depend on the practice area; see Practice Area Requirements.
• Become proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment through training and on-the-job experience.

Nice To Haves

• Family or specialty Nurse Practitioner certification.
• Two or more years of experience in the practice area.
