About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner promotes a professional, patient-centered practice image and performs patient histories, physical examinations, diagnoses, therapeutic treatment regimens as required, and interpretation of laboratory results under the supervision and direction of a practicing physician. The role uses a team-based approach to all tasks. Given training and on-the-job experience, the incumbent should become proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current North Carolina license.
• ACLS and PALS or BCLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of employment.
• Become proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months, given training and on-the-job experience.
