Part-Time Nurse Practitioner - Northside area
About The Position
Crossroads Treatment Centers is hiring a permanent, part-time Nurse Practitioner for its Northside area clinics. The role evaluates and manages patients with opioid use disorder in outpatient clinic settings and provides evidence-based medication-assisted treatment. The Nurse Practitioner prescribes medications and treatments based on patient assessments, completes medical documentation according to Crossroads standards, collaborates with clinic staff to provide holistic care and connect patients with other medical providers and community services, and performs injections. Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner licensure and authorization to practice in the state of practice.
- Primary specialty in Family Medicine/Family Practice, Internal Medicine, General Practice, or Psychiatry.
- DEA Certificate of Registration in the state of practice, with ability to schedule medications in Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 4, and 5.
- Must have or be eligible for enrollment for Medicaid and Medicare credentials.
- Additional education or certification may be required depending on the state of practice.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in addiction medicine, preferably treating patients with opioid use disorder (OUD) and/or providing medication for opioid use disorder.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients with opioid use disorder in outpatient clinic settings.
- Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments based on patient assessments.
- Complete medical documentation according to Crossroads standards.
- Collaborate with clinic staff to provide holistic patient care, including referrals to other medical providers and community services.
- Perform injections.
