Part-Time Nurse Practitioner - Ford City Area
About The Position
Crossroads Treatment Centers is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner in the Ford City area. The organization provides outpatient, office-based, evidence-based medication-assisted treatment for patients with opioid use disorder. The Nurse Practitioner will evaluate and manage patients in outpatient clinic settings, prescribe appropriate medications and treatments, document care according to Crossroads standards, collaborate with clinic staff to provide holistic care and connect patients with other providers and community services, and perform injections. Applicants should provide their availability with their application.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license and authorization to practice in the state of practice.
- Primary specialty in Family Medicine/Family Practice, Internal Medicine, General Practice, or Psychiatry.
- DEA Certificate of Registration in the state of practice, with ability to schedule medications in schedules 2, 2N, 3, 4, and 5.
- Must have or be eligible to enroll for Medicaid and Medicare credentials.
- Additional education or certification may be required depending on the state of practice.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in addiction medicine, preferably treating patients with opioid use disorder (OUD) and/or providing medication for opioid use disorder.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients with opioid use disorder in outpatient clinic settings.
- Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments based on patient assessment.
- Complete medical documentation according to Crossroads standards.
- Collaborate with clinic staff to provide holistic patient care, including referrals to other medical providers and community services.
- Perform injections.
