About The Position

This position supports both general inpatient care for non-critical pulmonary patients and outpatient ambulatory practice patient sessions. The nurse practitioner evaluates and treats patients and provides advanced nursing care in a clinical specialty area under the direction of a licensed physician. The role includes a rotation between Temple Lung Center at Yardley and Temple Lung Center at Far Northeast. The schedule is 40 hours per week, generally Monday through Friday, with inpatient coverage, rotating weekend on-call coverage once every four weeks, weeknight call rotation, and after-hours, weekend, and holiday coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients.
• Administer advanced nursing care in a pulmonary specialty area under the direction of a licensed physician.
• Perform patient-care activities, including diagnosis and prescription of medical therapeutics or corrective measures, in collaboration with and under the direction of a physician.
• Support general inpatient care for non-critical pulmonary patients.
• Provide outpatient ambulatory practice patient sessions.
• Participate in inpatient coverage and after-hours, weekend, holiday, and weeknight call rotations as needed.
