About The Position

The Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner will work at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. This full-time position works rotating day and night shifts, with 11–12 shifts per month and 12-hour shifts. The role includes malpractice coverage with tail coverage.

The nurse practitioner will collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers (APPs), and residents, and participate in daily multidisciplinary rounding in a 32-bed mixed medical-surgical ICU. The position offers 24/7 inpatient physician support and opportunities to practice at the top of the provider’s scope, including multiple procedures. The hospital is a modern 407-bed facility with a high-acuity critical care service and an academic partnership with UTHSC.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nursing.
• At least 3 years of experience in Pulmonary/Critical Care in Advanced Nursing.
• Preferred: Nurse Practitioner credential.
• Preferred: Registered Nurse credential.
• Preferred: BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification accepted.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds in a mixed medical-surgical ICU.
