Nurse Practitioner, Psych PMHNP - Pierce T-CAT
About The Position
As a senior member of the clinical team, the Psych Nurse Practitioner provides direct psychiatric care and medical treatment to members served. This is a part-time, 20 hours per week position, Monday-Friday, with flexible shift times between 8 am and 7 pm. Telecare's mission is to deliver excellent and effective behavioral health services that engage individuals in recovering their health, hopes, and dreams. Telecare's Community Alternatives Team (T-CAT) provides outreach services in Pierce County, including a Diversion Service that partners with hospitals and mobile crisis teams to assess risk and provide support to individuals to avoid psychiatric hospitalization, and a Transition Service that supports individuals transitioning from housing settings to outpatient services by providing interim prescribing support, connecting them with mental health services, housing, employment, education, and social opportunities to prevent acute hospital settings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Science and an advanced degree in a healthcare science as required by the State Licensing program
- 1-2 years of prescribing experience in a program serving persons diagnosed with Severe and Persistent Mental Illnesses
- Completion of an accredited Psych Nurse Practitioner program
- American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Board Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner in the State of practice
- Active DEA and Furnishing licenses
