About The Position
Brentwood Hospital is seeking a dynamic Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join their team. Brentwood Hospital is a 260-bed psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment facility in Shreveport, Louisiana, serving the region for over 45 years. They offer quality services to children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, focusing on individualized treatment to improve patients' quality of life. The PMHNP will examine and treat patients referred for mental health or substance abuse treatment under the guidance of staff physicians.
Requirements
- Masters of Science in Nursing Degree required
- Current licensure as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP)
- Current Family Psychiatric and Mental Health certification
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience required
Responsibilities
- Conducts general history and physical evaluations with problem focused areas of evaluation for all patients with assurance that patient history forms, medication lists, procedure lists, and problem lists are addressed.
- Accurately perform problem-focused evaluations of medical problems with treatments including medication prescribing and instructions on life-style changes.
- Develops and manages patient care follow-up plans.
