About The Position
Optum is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide patient-focused care in Los Angeles, California. The role is part of Optum Care Delivery, where clinicians have the clinical resources, data, and organizational support to provide high-quality local care. New graduates are welcome to apply. The clinician will manage direct patient care for patients of all ages, from newborns to geriatric patients. The average patient volume is 18–20 patients. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $113,000 to $173,500. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and may vary based on factors such as local labor markets, education, work experience, productivity, and performance. Requirements
- Unrestricted California license.
- California DEA certificate required before the start date.
- Certificate of completion from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant school.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
Responsibilities
- Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment.
- See patients of all ages, from newborns to geriatric patients.
