About The Position
Avita Health System is seeking a Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department at Avita Galion Hospital. The role directs patient care activities and manages the department’s staff, operational activities, and nursing activities. The Nurse Manager consults with staff, the Emergency Department Physician Director, physicians, and the Nurse Executive regarding nursing problems and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met.
Requirements
- Current State of Ohio Registered Nurse license.
- At least three years of experience in all aspects of emergency nursing.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- PALS certification within six months of hire.
- TNCC certification, or obtain it within one year of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Previous experience working as a Charge Nurse or Nurse Manager in an Emergency Department.
Responsibilities

- Manage Emergency Department staff and operational and nursing activities.
- Consult with staff, the Emergency Department Physician Director, physicians, and the Nurse Executive on nursing problems and interpretation of hospital policies.
