About The Position

At CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy, the focus is patient-centered care. The level I trauma center and academic medical center campus is designed to support healing in a comfortable, less stressful hospital environment. Medical services include trauma, heart and vascular care, emergency services, surgery, maternity, cancer care, and diagnostic imaging. As a Campus Float Nurse at CHI Health, you will provide exceptional patient care across multiple units. You will build trust by maintaining a positive attitude and being reliable, and provide care for varied disease processes and situations ranging from minor to critical while remaining calm and positive. The role offers premium differentials in addition to standard night and weekend pay. Eligible new hires may receive a sign-on bonus of up to $6,000 and educational assistance of up to $10,000.

Requirements

Active RN licensure in Nebraska or Iowa, or a compact RN license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 5 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

One year of RN experience.
Specialty certification, such as CCRN, CNOR, or CEN.
Additional certification or licensure may be required for some specialty areas.

Responsibilities

Monitor patients’ conditions and assess their needs.
Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients.
Administer patients’ medications and provide treatments according to physicians’ orders.
Foster a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and their families.
Provide patient care across multiple units and care for varied disease processes and levels of acuity.
