About The Position
At CHI Health Mercy Council Bluffs, the Campus Float Nurse provides patient care across multiple units and a variety of disease processes, in situations ranging from minor to critical. The nurse builds trust through a positive attitude and reliability, and remains calm and positive while delivering care. The role includes premium differentials in addition to standard night and weekend pay. Eligible new hires may receive a $6,000 sign-on bonus and up to $10,000 in educational assistance, subject to eligibility requirements.
Requirements
- Active RN licensure in Nebraska, Iowa, or a compact state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 5 months of hire.
- Additional certification or licensure may be required for some specialty areas.
Nice To Haves
- One year of RN experience preferred.
- Specialty certification, such as CCRN, CNOR, or CEN.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients’ conditions and assess their needs.
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients.
- Administer patients’ medications and provide treatments according to physicians’ orders.
- Foster a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and their families.
- Provide clinical care across multiple units and a range of disease processes, from minor to critical situations.
