About The Position

As a Nurse Assistant at Henry Ford Health Wyandotte Hospital, you help ensure patients’ safety, comfort, and well-being. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), you perform specific patient care duties, contribute input to care planning, and respond to emergent situations according to established procedures. You support RNs and contribute to patients’ overall experience.

The position is full time, 36 hours per week, working midnights from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The department serves the Downriver community and is part of Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Complete a Nurse Assistant program (e.g., PCT, PAT); or be currently enrolled in a nursing program and have completed Fundamentals of Nursing; or be a foreign-trained and licensed RN without a Michigan RN license; or have completed a Medical Assistant program, with or without experience; or have at least one year of experience in a similar role.
• Complete BLS Heart Saver Certification during orientation.

Nice To Haves

• CNA certification preferred.
