About The Position

Seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a locum tenens position in Hematology & Oncology. This role involves providing comprehensive outpatient care, managing chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments, and collaborating with a dedicated healthcare team. The position is based in Eureka, CA, with a Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm schedule. The average daily patient volume is 12-14 patients, focusing on hematology/oncology cases. The facility utilizes the Epic EMR system and offers robust support staff, including RNs, MAs, and other PAs/NPs.

Requirements

• Board Certified (Eligible)
• Licensed in CA
• DEA required
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of hospital clinical activity in specialty
• Clean file preferred; no settlements, DUIs, restrictions

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient hematology/oncology care
• Manage chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments
• Collaborate with oncologists and nursing staff
• Perform patient assessments and develop treatment plans
• Document patient encounters in Epic EMR
