This role is part of an integrated Cancer Health Network, accredited for General Cancer and Breast Cancer services, and supported by a statewide cancer service line. There is a strong emphasis on work-life balance and a supportive, collaborative leadership team. The position offers the opportunity to practice within a well-established, comprehensive cancer program with access to broader system resources. In collaboration with a physician, the NP/PA will provide for the expansion of individualized primary healthcare services by diagnosing and treating certain acute or chronic health conditions. This includes obtaining patient history, performing assessments via observation, interview, and examination, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, and performing preventative health assessments, screenings, immunizations, and patient care. The role also involves providing direct treatment and management of health conditions through referrals to other healthcare providers or community resources, and counseling/educating patients and their families/caregivers on preventative health, treatment options, and community resources. Documentation of health care delivery and nursing processes will be in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy.
