About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position for a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in Emergency Medicine at a facility in Middletown, New York. The coverage period is from July 1, 2026, and ongoing. The role involves providing comprehensive emergency care, performing moderate sedation, collaborating with physicians and staff, and maintaining accurate EMR documentation.
Requirements
- Board Certified
- Active New York License
- Active DEA with NY address and schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4 & 5
- ACLS, PALS (AHA), ATLS certifications
- Case logs for past 2 years
- CME/CEU documentation for past 2 years
- Current immunizations (Flu, PPD or Chest X-ray, Physical, N95 Fit Test, titers for MMR, Hep B, Varicella)

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency care to patients in the ER setting
- Perform moderate sedation as required for procedures
- Collaborate with attending physicians and support staff to manage acute conditions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic EMR
- Participate in patient assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning
