About The Position

This is a locum tenens position for an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) at CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs - EM, a 32-bed Level II Trauma Center in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The role involves providing comprehensive emergency medical care to patients with medium acuity, performing emergency procedures, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, managing patient flow, and maintaining accurate documentation in the Epic EMR system. Coverage is ongoing starting September 9, 2026, with 12-hour shifts.

Requirements

AANP or ANCC Board Certification
Active unrestricted Arkansas NP license
Active Arkansas DEA/CDS with Arkansas address
Prescriptive authority required
ACLS, PALS, ATLS required
Prior Emergency Medicine experience required
Two years of case logs
Two years of CME/CEU documentation
Current CV/Resume
Driver's license
Color photo
Supervising physician assignment required
Immunizations per facility policy
Hospital Privileges Required

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in a 32-bed Level II Trauma Center ED.
Perform emergency procedures appropriate for a critical access facility with a broad EM skillset.
Collaborate with attending physicians, APPs, and support staff in a team-oriented environment.
Manage patient admissions, discharges, and transfers, including physician-led observation unit protocols.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Epic EMR system.
