Non-Invasive Technician PRN
About The Position
The Noninvasive Technician performs day-to-day functions of the EKG department, including electrocardiograms, treadmill stress tests, Holter monitor hook-up and scanning, editing, charging, and charting. The technician collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide patient care in a highly technical, fast-paced, and rewarding setting. Methodist Dallas Medical Center is a 595-bed acute care teaching and referral hospital and the flagship hospital of Methodist Health System. The hospital has an adult Level I Trauma Center and a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center in southern Dallas, along with the Linda and Mitch Hart Breast Center. It has served the community for more than 90 years and seeks a diverse workforce reflecting the communities it serves.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current Basic Life Support certification.
- Successfully complete a Basic Dysrhythmia class.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced Cardio Life Support certification is preferred.
- One year of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in the EKG department, is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrocardiograms.
- Perform treadmill stress tests.
- Hook up and scan Holter monitors.
- Edit, charge, and chart as part of EKG department functions.
