About The Position

My MediRides is hiring part-time drivers to transport customers to and from medical appointments, including doctor’s appointments, dialysis, physical therapy, and pharmacies. Drivers must provide safe, punctual, reliable, courteous, and respectful service while following applicable traffic laws and company policies. The company provides paid field training, a vehicle for transporting customers, and a fuel card. The position is described as a Monday–Friday daytime job in St. Petersburg, Largo, Pinellas Park, or Seminole.

Requirements

• Have a valid state driver’s license issued by the state of proposed employment.
• Live within 30 minutes of the location for which applying.
• Have at least 5 years of verifiable driving experience.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening, a 3-year Motor Vehicle Record check, a background check, and a driving performance test.
• Have no physical impairment that prevents safe driving or performing essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Be able to read, write, and converse in English.
• Be able to use a GPS or technology system and read and understand roadmaps.
• Be able to lift and pull up to 20 pounds.
• Be able to climb in and out of the vehicle.
• Be able to bend to inspect the vehicle undercarriage and tires.
• Be able to manually open and close all vehicle doors and hatches.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport customers to and from medical appointments on time while following federal, state, and local traffic laws and company policies and procedures.
• Drive vehicles safely.
• Provide reliable, courteous, and respectful customer service.
• Arrive at pickups at the required time and location to help passengers reach appointments on time.
• Immediately report any moving violations to a supervisor.
• Report vehicle defects, mechanical problems, or missing items to the manager.
• Inspect the vehicle while refueling.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding company business secrets and customer information.
• Abide by all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
