About The Position

My MediRides is seeking part-time drivers to transport customers to and from medical appointments in St. Petersburg, Largo, Pinellas Park, and Seminole. Drivers provide safe, reliable, courteous, and respectful service while ensuring passengers arrive on time and following applicable traffic laws and company policies. The company provides paid in-field training, a vehicle for customer transportation, and a fuel card. Compensation is $15 per hour plus per-trip incentives.

Requirements

Hold a valid state driver’s license issued by the state of proposed employment.
Live within 30 minutes of the location for which you are applying.
Have at least 5 years of verifiable driving experience.
Be at least 21 years old.
Pass a pre-employment drug screening, a 3-year Motor Vehicle Record check, a background check, and a driving performance test.
Have no physical impairment that prevents safe driving or performance of essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Be able to read, write, and converse in English.
Be able to use a GPS/technology system and read and understand roadmaps.
Be able to lift and pull up to 20 pounds.
Be able to climb in and out of the vehicle, bend to inspect its undercarriage and tires, and manually open and close all vehicle doors and hatches.

Responsibilities

Safely transport customers to and from medical appointments, including doctor’s appointments, dialysis, physical therapy, pharmacies, and other medical appointments.
Follow federal, state, and local traffic laws and company policies and procedures.
Provide reliable, courteous, and respectful customer service.
Arrive at pickups at the required time and location to support passengers’ timely arrival at appointments.
Immediately report moving violations to a supervisor.
Report vehicle defects, mechanical problems, or missing items to a manager.
Inspect the vehicle while refueling.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding company business secrets and customer information.
Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
