About The Position

My MediRides is hiring part-time drivers to transport customers safely and on time to and from medical appointments, including doctor’s appointments, dialysis, physical therapy, and pharmacies. The position is based in the St. Petersburg, Largo, Pinellas Park, and Seminole areas and pays $15 per hour plus per-trip incentives. The company provides paid in-field training, a vehicle for transporting customers, and a fuel card. The schedule is Monday through Friday during the daytime, with flexible scheduling listed among the benefits. Drivers are expected to provide reliable, courteous, and respectful service while following traffic laws and company policies. The role also involves vehicle inspections and reporting moving violations, defects, mechanical problems, or missing items. Applicants must meet the listed driving, screening, communication, and physical requirements.

Requirements

Have a valid state driver’s license issued by the state of proposed employment.
Live within 30 minutes of the location for which you are applying.
Have at least 5 years of verifiable driving experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Pass a pre-employment drug screening, a 3-year Motor Vehicle Record check, a background check, and a driving performance test.
Have no physical impairment that prevents safe driving or performance of essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Be able to read, write, and converse in English.
Be able to use a GPS/technology system and read and understand roadmaps.
Be able to lift and pull up to 20 pounds.
Be able to climb in and out of the vehicle.
Be able to bend to inspect the vehicle’s undercarriage and tires.
Be able to manually open and close all vehicle doors and hatches.

Responsibilities

Safely transport customers to and from medical appointments on time while following federal, state, and local traffic laws and company policies.
Drive vehicles in a safe manner.
Provide reliable, courteous, and respectful customer service.
Arrive at pickups at the required time and location to support timely arrival for appointments.
Immediately report moving violations to a supervisor.
Report vehicle defects, mechanical problems, or missing items to a manager.
Perform a vehicle inspection while refueling.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding company business secrets and customer information.
Abide by all company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
