About The Position

My MediRides is seeking part-time drivers to transport customers to and from medical appointments in St. Petersburg, Largo, Pinellas Park, and Seminole. Drivers are paid $15 per hour plus per-trip incentives. The company provides paid in-field training, a vehicle for transporting customers, and a fuel card. This is a Monday-through-Friday daytime job.

Requirements

• Hold a valid state driver’s license issued by the state of proposed employment.
• Live within 30 minutes of the location for which applying.
• Have at least 5 years of verifiable driving experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening, a 3-year Motor Vehicle Record check, a background check, and a driving performance test.
• Have no physical impairment that prevents safe driving or performance of essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Be able to read, write, and converse in English.
• Be able to use a GPS/technology system and read and understand roadmaps.
• Be able to lift and pull up to 20 pounds.
• Be able to climb in and out of the vehicle.
• Be able to bend to inspect the vehicle undercarriage and tires.
• Be able to manually open and close all vehicle doors and hatches.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport customers on time to and from doctor’s appointments, dialysis, physical therapy, pharmacies, and other medical appointments, following federal, state, and local traffic laws and company policies and procedures.
• Drive vehicles safely.
• Provide reliable, courteous, and respectful customer service.
• Arrive at pickups at the required time and location to help ensure passengers arrive promptly for appointments.
• Immediately report all moving violations to a supervisor.
• Report vehicle defects, mechanical problems, or missing items to a manager.
• Perform a vehicle inspection while refueling.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding company business secrets and customer information.
• Abide by all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
