About The Position

My MediRides is seeking part-time drivers to transport customers to and from medical appointments, including doctor’s appointments, dialysis, physical therapy, and pharmacies. Drivers are expected to provide safe, timely, courteous, and respectful service while complying with applicable traffic laws and company policies. The company provides paid in-field training, a vehicle for transporting customers, and a fuel card. The listed locations are New Port Richey, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Largo, Pinellas Park, Palm Harbor, Dunedin, Safety Harbor, and Seminole. Pay is $15 per hour plus per-trip incentive pay. The position is described as a Monday–Friday daytime job.

Requirements

Have a valid state driver’s license issued by the state of proposed employment.
Live within 30 minutes of the location for which applying.
Have at least 5 years of verifiable driving experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Pass a pre-employment drug screening, a 3-year Motor Vehicle Record check, a background check, and a driving performance test.
Have no physical impairment that prevents safe driving or performance of essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Be able to read, write, and converse in English.
Be able to use a GPS/technology system and read and understand roadmaps.
Be able to lift and pull up to 20 pounds.
Be able to climb in and out of the vehicle.
Be able to bend to inspect the vehicle undercarriage and tires.
Be able to manually open and close all vehicle doors and hatches.

Responsibilities

Safely transport customers to and from medical appointments on time while following federal, state, and local traffic laws and company policies and procedures.
Drive vehicles safely.
Provide reliable, courteous, and respectful customer service.
Arrive at pickups at the required time and location to ensure passengers reach appointments on time.
Immediately report all moving violations to a supervisor.
Report vehicle defects, mechanical problems, or missing items to the manager.
Inspect the vehicle while refueling.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding company business secrets and customer information.
Abide by all company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
