About The Position

My MediRides is seeking part-time drivers to transport customers to and from medical appointments in St. Petersburg, Largo, Pinellas Park, and Seminole. This is a Monday–Friday daytime role. Drivers use a company-provided vehicle and fuel card, and receive paid in-field training. Compensation is $15 per hour plus per-trip incentive pay. Drivers are responsible for providing safe, timely transportation and courteous, respectful service while following applicable traffic laws and company policies. The role also involves reporting vehicle issues and moving violations, conducting vehicle inspections while refueling, and protecting confidential business and customer information. Additional duties may be assigned by a supervisor. The job description notes that it may not include every responsibility, duty, requirement, or effort associated with the position.

Requirements

Have a valid state driver’s license issued by the state of proposed employment.
Live within 30 minutes of the location for which applying.
Have at least 5 years of verifiable driving experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Pass a pre-employment drug screening, a 3-year Motor Vehicle Record check, a background check, and a driving performance test.
Have no physical impairment that prevents safe driving or performing essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Be able to read, write, and converse in English.
Be able to use a GPS/technology system and read and understand roadmaps.
Be able to lift and pull up to 20 pounds.
Be able to climb in and out of the vehicle.
Be able to bend to inspect the vehicle’s undercarriage and tires.
Be able to manually open and close all vehicle doors and hatches.

Responsibilities

Safely transport customers to and from medical appointments, including doctor’s appointments, dialysis, physical therapy, and pharmacies, while complying with traffic laws and company policies.
Drive vehicles safely and provide reliable, courteous, and respectful customer service.
Arrive at pickups at the required time and location to help passengers reach appointments on time.
Immediately report moving violations to a supervisor.
Report vehicle defects, mechanical problems, or missing items to a manager.
Inspect the vehicle while refueling.
Maintain strict confidentiality of company business secrets and customer information.
Abide by company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
