About The Position

Ryder is hiring a local NON-CDL Truck Driver in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. The position delivers auto parts solo within an 80-mile radius of Carnegie, Pennsylvania, and is home daily. Drivers operate 16-, 22-, or 26-foot box trucks and handle touch freight. Ryder provides training on the equipment needed for the role and maintains its trucks, which are 36 months old or newer, with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at more than 800 nationwide maintenance locations.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, with no weekends, and a 6:00–7:00 AM start time. The posting lists 40+ hours per week, weekly pay of $930–$1,130, solo mileage pay of $0.35 per mile, solo stop pay of $12 per stop, and paid training. Drivers are responsible for safe vehicle operation, compliance with safety requirements, customer service, accurate records, and loading or unloading freight when required.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Have verifiable driving experience meeting one of these alternatives: six months in the past three years, two years within the last five years, or five years within the last ten years. Experience must be in similar equipment when the position involves operating a straight truck or box truck.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Be able to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Be able to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a vehicle while complying with safety regulations, ongoing training requirements, and customer service expectations.
• Comply with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Load and unload freight, or assist with loading and unloading when required by the customer.
• Complete other tasks as assigned.
