About The Position

The Non CDL Driver is responsible for safe, timely, and accurate delivery of materials to customer locations and job sites. The position combines driving with hands-on support for loading, unloading, and verifying deliveries. The role calls for a safety-focused, reliable person committed to excellent customer service. The driver operates a 26-foot box truck for local deliveries, communicates with dispatchers and customers, and handles building products in varied environments, including adverse weather conditions.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Ability to successfully obtain a DOT Medical Card during the first 30 days.
• Experience operating a forklift.
• Prior experience in direct customer interaction.
• Effective communication skills with colleagues, vendors, and customers.
• Ability to work in diverse environments, including adverse weather conditions, and handle various building products.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 26-foot box truck for local deliveries.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections, load and verify materials, and unload safely at job sites.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher and customers.
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Inspect materials for condition and quantity before storing.
• Manage pick tickets through proper loading and secondary verification.
• Notify Purchasing, Sales, and the Lead Warehouse Associate of unfilled orders or low inventory levels.
