Non-CDL Driver + Safe Driver Incentive
About The Position
Ferguson is hiring a Non-CDL Driver to deliver materials to customers, collect returns, and support warehouse operations. The role is based in the field in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., or until route completion. The position offers daily home time with no nights or weekends, while overtime may be needed. The driver assists with loading and unloading materials, confirms that deliveries match their tickets, and validates returned products for credit requests. The role also involves vehicle inspections and fueling, following company safety procedures, and helping warehouse personnel prepare orders and handle incoming materials. Pre-employment drug and background screening is required.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid state-issued driver's license required.
- Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift up to 90 lbs.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to navigate and operate basic technology and software, including iPads and Warehouse Management systems.
- Must complete pre-employment drug and background screening.
Nice To Haves
- 1–3 years of delivery driving experience preferred.
- Background in warehouse operations and logistics, including shipping, receiving, and delivery, is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Deliver materials to customers, assist with loading and unloading, and ensure the delivery ticket accompanies the material.
- Pick up customer returns and validate product matches for credit requests.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report problems or issues to a supervisor.
- Follow and implement company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment as needed.
- Receive, verify, stage, and stock incoming material.
- Work overtime as needed.
- Adhere to safety regulations and use personal protective equipment correctly, including a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs.
