About The Position

Lone Star Market is seeking an experienced restaurant leader to guide a team during the night shift. The Shift Leader is expected to demonstrate strong business and interpersonal skills, maintain quality and guest-satisfaction standards, and work proactively toward outcomes that generate revenue and control costs. Leaders embrace and recognize Team Members in support of the company’s vision, values, and culture.

Requirements

Strong customer-service and communication skills.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Reliable transportation.
Flexible schedule.
Ability to stand for up to 8 hours during a shift.
Ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds.
Ability to perform pushing, pulling, stretching, and continuous bilateral use of fingers and wrists.

Responsibilities

Create crew schedules and ensure team members follow them.
Schedule and provide crew breaks, filling in as a crew member when needed.
Oversee crew members to ensure fast, efficient customer service.
Help new crew members learn operating systems and use POS or order-taking machines.
Monitor customer wait times against company standards.
Train and develop new employees and ensure they shadow experienced team members during shifts.
Assist with inventory control to maintain adequate supplies, kitchen utensils, and equipment.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to support timely delivery of supplies and equipment.
Oversee kitchen staff, ensure quality food preparation, and provide guidance on rotating stored items.
Handle customer complaints and ensure they are resolved promptly.
Oversee cash-register closing and balancing at shift end and promptly resolve issues.
